A Seattle native, Michael Oaksmith began his career in construction at an early age, starting with the residential construction company owned and operated by his family.

Upon graduation from the University of Washington in 1999, Schuchart Corporation, one of the region’s most renowned commercial and residential construction companies, hired Oaksmith as a project engineer. Given his innate talents, he quickly moved into a manager position, where he oversaw every aspect of distinctive commercial and high-end residential projects, including multi-million dollar mixed-use properties and condominiums throughout the Seattle area.

In 2003, Oaksmith founded Blueline Developers, where he managed the company’s daily operations, directly involved in the design, layout, material selection and client relations. In addition to his work with Blueline Developers, Oaksmith is an equity-partner and manager with Seattle-based Lakeview Development, LLC, which owns a condominium project on Capitol Hill.
