1000 East Pike Street | Seattle, WA 98122
Owner/Manager
From its beginning in 1912 the building at 1000 East Pike Street has been home to many car dealerships. In the 1960's the building became the home to Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI) until the Fall of 1997 when the building was been restored to its original condition. Improvements included restoring the exterior to its original grace: re-building the wood storefront, sandblasting and tuck pointing all the brick, and reinforcing the building parapets. The lower windows were replaced with rebuilt wood surrounds, while the upper windows were replaced with operable, hand-made, double-hung reproductions of those original to the building. On the inside, Hunters Capital removed carpet and 1950s linoleum to reveal the beautiful, original oak floor that the luxury Pierce-Arrow cars once rolled upon. In fact, several four-inch tire marks remain as a memory of the old carriage days.
Currently home to Havana, Gary Manuel Aveda Institute, Urban Influence and Poquitos.
Located in the heart of the Pine/Pike Triangle on Capitol Hill; 20,981 square feet office and retail.
